My name is Danielle Callister. I am 36yrs. old and have gone back to school. I married my high school sweetheart in 1997. He went back to school when we were pregnant with our first child. He earned his masters in 2006 and is enjoying a career in accounting. Now it's my turn.
This is an adventure I never thought I would take. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom, which has happened, but is slowly becoming less a priority. (Not being a mom, just being at home all the time.) I have 3 kids. Ryan, Rachel, Amber. They are all in school all day long. At one point I thought I would still just stay home while they were at school. When I realized how bored I would be I thought maybe I would work at the school to be with them, but now it has become all about me. I want to do more. I will always treasure my time at home with my babies and I know it was good for all of us. I know me going back to school will only make us all stronger and better off in the future.
I have recently change my path from working toward the Radiology Tech program at SLCC to working toward an Elementary Education degree. I am determined. I will take 15+ hrs for the next few semesters in order to be able to apply to the USU extension program in July.
I love reading, scrapbooking, watching movies, and drinking wine and beer.
