Back to School


Pilates I- I had been wanting to try pilates for a long time. Taking it through school was the perfect opportunity. It is more challenging that I thought it would be. Much to my dismay, it wasn't just stretching. It was strengthening, lengthening, and toning the whole body. Brenda was a great instructor. She is very experienced and was able to break down each exercise with imagery. The imagery was sometimes the only way to understand what how I was supposed to be moving. She pushed us and expected improvement. I think I finally learned how to do core exercises the right way. That doesn't mean I CAN do them the right way, but I try. It was a fun class and each time I got a great workout.  I always left sweating and energized. Our final assignment was to type up a sample mat sequence. I have attached it below. I learned a lot, but i have a long way to go !
