Back to School

This is a glimpse at my CIS - 1020 Intro to Computers class. I really enjoyed this course. It was a lot of busy work, but by doing the work I learned a lot. What I learned will stick with me and my work. I really enjoyed doing the final projects for each chapter. I have shared each of these completed projects below.

This was my first project in Computers. I had written this paper for my Econ History class, but I was able to tweak its appearance and make it more interesting to look at. I was fun and easy enough to get to know WORD. I was amazed at all the tricks I could do with my fonts and pictures.

The next project was for Excel. I have always been envious of the people who understood excel. I am sort of one of those people now. I still can't do it as quickly as my husband, but I can do most of what he can do. We learned how to set up formulas, charts, tables, image tricks, and much much more. This project was setting up a budget and organizing it. My husband and I have our budget figured out, but it was still good for me to see how much we stray from our budget sometimes.

My 3rd and Final project for my computers class was for the Power Point chapter. I spent way too much time on it, but I was having so much fun. I was completely consumed by all the fun things I could do in Power Point 2010. The animations were my favorite. I dedicated my slide show to the 80's. If you were a kid in the 80s, your childhood ROCKED! Here is a link to my Power Point....        http://www.slideboom.com/presentations/655985/Generation-X---Kids-of-the-80s
